Application: Deox 70 Briquettes were
developed for use as a slag conditioner for Al killed steels at the LMF
or at tap. The combination of fluxes plus aluminum allows the
aluminum in the Briquette to dissolve quickly at the slag-metal
interface. Deox 70 is cheaper than other forms of Al, be it shot,
95% + Al briquettes or Al grindings. Because Deox 70 works faster
and more efficiently than straight Al, it can save a couple of minutes
of processing time at the LMF. Typically, Deox 70 replaces other
forms of Al on a pound-for-pound basis as a slag conditioner. |
